Concert Season 2026/27 – International Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg

Music & Musics: The new concert season brings together classical music stars, rising talents, and grand operatic sounds under the open sky.

Inspired by the thematic focus of Mozart Week 2027, Mozart &; “Mozarts”, the programmes highlight the connections between composers, the inspiring power of their music, and the musical excursions of major classical artists into other genres. “Inspired by the thematic focus of Mozart Week 27, we are placing our new season under the motto Music & Musics,” explains Artistic Director Rolando Villazón.

Highlights include the open-air opera Apollo et Hyacinthus in the baroque hedge theatre of Mirabell Gardens, the Mozart Requiem with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg under Trevor Pinnock, as well as master concerts featuring Christiane Karg, Gautier Capuçon, Gabriela Montero, Nemanja Radulović and the Janoska Ensemble.

The programme is complemented by special-format concerts with varied chamber music, promising newcomers and young prizewinners. With the I am from Salzburg series, the Mozarteum Foundation also continues its commitment to supporting young talent, presenting artists with a close connection to Salzburg. The traditional season opener will once again be LatinoMozart.
