Mannheim Summer 2026
June 18 – 28
This year, the 10-day international festival for music and theater will focus on Mozart, among other things. Mozart’s Magic Flute will be performed at the Mannheim Opal as the festival’s opening premiere and then twice more as part of the Mannheim Summer before the production is incorporated into the repertoire of the National Theater Mannheim.
Mozart’s Requiem (completed by Franz Xaver Süßmayr) will be performed twice in combination with Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550, in the Mozartsaal at the Rosengarten as part of the 8th Academy Concert in 2026. The Mannheim Summer will make a guest appearance at the Schloss Theater in Schwetzingen with Claudio Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo.
