Mozart Festival Augsburg begins on May 4

Under the motto “A Matter of the Heart,” the Mozart Festival Augsburg invites audiences from May 4 to 31 to concerts featuring renowned artists such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Isabelle Faust, Chilly Gonzales, and Jess Gillam. The festival, whose origins date back to 1952, also marks ten years since its artistic reorientation.

The program combines Mozart’s works with a wide range of musical influences, deliberately crossing stylistic boundaries. Inspired by Leopold Mozart, the festival stands for openness, curiosity, and international exchange.

In recent years, the Mozart Festival Augsburg has established a distinctive profile in the international classical music scene, attracting artists from around the world.
