Mozart Festival Schwetzingen: Where Mozart Comes to Life

September 26 to October 11, 2026

In the second half of the year, our charming little Mozart city becomes a meeting place for music lovers from near and far. The Mozart Festival celebrates its famous namesake, who himself visited the city in 1763 and performed for the Elector. His legacy remains alive to this day and can be experienced throughout the festival through outstanding music and exceptional concert experiences.

The historic surroundings and Mozart’s music come together to create a truly unique cultural experience. Chamber concerts in the magnificent circular halls of the palace invite audiences to discover the subtle and diverse facets of classical music in an extraordinary atmosphere.

This year’s Mozart Festival once again brings together an outstanding line-up of artists and ensembles. Featured performers include the internationally acclaimed Van Baerle Trio, the Geister Duo, Simone von Rahden, the Vogler Quartet, the Trio Adorno, the Duo StringBreeze, the Ardeo Quartet, as well as pianists Markus Becker and Florian Hölscher.

Whether you are a devoted Mozart enthusiast, a lover of chamber music, or simply curious to discover something new, the Mozart Festival promises exceptional musical encounters and unforgettable moments in historic venues. Look forward to a festival where history, architecture and great music come together in a unique way – right in the heart of our Mozart city.
