Mozart Week 27 – Mozart & Mozarts
Mozart Week 27 brings together Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and composers celebrated as “other Mozarts.” Under the motto “Mozart & Mozarts” the festival presents rarely performed works by composers such as Arriaga, Saint-Georges, Kraus, Devienne, and Mysliveček in fascinating dialogue with Mozart’s music from January 21–31, 2027, in Salzburg.
A semi-staged performance of Così fan tutte will take center stage, featuring the CAMERATA Salzburg celebrating its 75th anniversary, alongside a star-studded cast including Thomas Hampson and Kathryn Lewek. The program is further enriched by the innovative production The School for Lovers, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, puppet theatre, drama, cinema with live music, readings, family concerts, and much more.
Participating artists and ensembles include the Vienna Philharmonic, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and performers such as Igor Levit, Christian Thielemann, Philippe Jordan, Oksana Lyniv, and Magdalena Kožená. Festival debuts will be made by Víkingur Ólafsson, Augustin Hadelich, and Alexandra Dovgan.
