MOZART@PADOVA – A musical journey

March 12 – April 12, 2026 | 6th edition

The Mozart@Padova festival will take place again in 2026, inviting visitors on a musical journey through the city. Conceived by Paola Cattaneo, the series of events commemorates the visit of fifteen-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who spent several days in Padua with his father Leopold in March 1771.

The festival comprises 18 events, including concerts, lectures, film screenings, and book presentations. Numerous institutions, museums, churches, cinemas, and bookstores in the city are participating and generously making their spaces available. This once again makes the festival a cultural project by and for the city.

Special attention is given to young musicians: schoolchildren, young musicians from the Conservatorio Pollini, and students from the University of Padua are actively involved in the program. Admission to all events is free (with the exception of the Solisti Veneti concert).

During the festival, there is the opportunity to make a voluntary “offerta responsabile” donation to the aid organization Medici con l’Africa CUAMM, which has been active in Padua for 75 years.

Finally, a culinary tradition should not be missed: the historic Pasticceria Graziati (since 1919) offers its famous Sacher cake during the festival – a sweet tribute to Mozart’s Austrian origins.
